Heeeyyy Y'all!!! I'm Lashonda Lee
I was born and raised on the west side of Chicago in the Ogden Courts Projects. Growing up, I always wanted to become a professional ice skater, volleyball player, or maybe even one of the best hair stylists in the world. I tried attending college, but I quickly decided that it just wasn't for me. I honestly didn't have the attention span to just sit there and listen to teachers talk all day, but don't be like me because having an education is very important. I joined New Life Covenant Southeast Church at the age of 20. I always had a heart to serve. Taking care of the poor, those in need, or just being a friend to anyone that feels alone, brings me joy. These three qualities are embedded in me. They will always be a part of who I am.
If you were to ask me 10 years ago, where did I see myself in the future, you can believe me, that being an author would have never come out of my mouth. I truly believe my God ordered my steps for such a time as this. He definitely saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. I am still learning more and more about him every day and every time, He never ceases to amaze me. My relationship with Christ is what keeps me going. It gives me the strength I need to make it through the tough times and the good times. Trying to be perfect will never be something I'll strive for but knowing that His grace and love is consistent and sufficient, I'll always try my best to be better today than I was yesterday.
